About DJC Design

DJC Design is a small company, based in Liverpool, that delivers a big photographic service.

We specialise in the creative application of digital technology to deliver high quality commercial photographic services, including PR, editorial, industrial and architectural, major event photography, such as music festivals and other performances, press calls, sports, corporate and private events, including weddings and civil partnerships. Please visit David's Liverpool wedding photography business site for more details of private commissions.

Our approach is based on matching – if not exceeding – the photographic requirements of our clients, both creatively and technically. We achieve this by first thoroughly exploring and understanding each commission, establishing how images are to be used and how the resulting photographs can best convey key messages and meet marketing objectives.

DJC Design was established in Merseyside by David J Colbran in 2005. David is a photographer and web designer. Before moving to Liverpool, David worked part-time as a freelance photographer and was also the IT Manager at the University of London.

DJC Design specialises in building and maintaining accessible, responsive web sites and providing IT consultancy services. We specialise in Modx and Wordpress content management systems. We also work with a small group of experts covering most elements of new media production and development. These include graphic designers, video and film-makers, web content and copy writers and internet technologists.

If you have a project that needs cost effective professionals, without paying a big agency fee, please get in touch.

While based in Merseyside, we cover the North-West and work across the UK.

David holds comprehensive Public & Products Liability insurance and Professional Indemnity insurance at £5M per claim and is a member of the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) and holds a full UK press card.

I absolutely love street art and have taken hundreds, if not thousands of images over the last twenty years on my travels.

Graffiti and street art provide signs of life self-generating. Often they are decorative, clever, and intriguing. Work appears suddenly and just as quickly vanishes – cleaned off, demolished or overpainted – only to reappear endlessly in other locations. It is an art form that is inherently transitory - some pieces last days, while others remain for years, until the paint starts peeling. And that is why I like it.
