London Marathon photography 2013

Published on Tue Apr 30, 2013 by

I was down again in the capital for the UK's largest marathon and the 33rd staging of the race. It was my 8th London Marathon in a row, which is completely crazy ! But as usual I completely enjoyed my time working with the world's biggest event photography company, Marthonfoto. In total there was about 80 photographers at the event, with 40 of us dotted around the course. I was located again on the Embankment, close to the finish at the 40km marker. It was busy with many charity supporters and spectators lining the route and the noise was deafening at times.

Kenya's Priscah Jeptoo took advantage of a dramatic fall by Olympic champion Tiki Gelana to win the London Marathon, here she is below on her way to victory.
