NUJ Photographer in Liverpool, Merseyside, working across the North West

NUJ Member in Merseyside - experienced pro photographer

I have been a member of the NUJ - The National Union of Journalists - since 2010 and hold a current UK Press Card. I am based in Wavertree, central Liverpool and work across Merseyside and the North West of England. But of course I can, and have done in the past, worked further afield. Indeed with the improved train times to London, I can cover events in the capital easily.

I hold comprehensive professional indemnity & public liability insurance. So we are both covered if a visitor trips on my camera bag, or some other accident !

And of course, I have loads of experience working with trade unions, including the RMT, Unison and Unite, as well as with the TUC on a recent visit to Liverpool.

I am listed here on the NUJ Freelance Directory as a North West freelance photographer. So obviously if you something coming up, that needs a card carrying professional, get in touch.

I absolutely love street art and have taken hundreds, if not thousands of images over the last twenty years on my travels.

Graffiti and street art provide signs of life self-generating. Often they are decorative, clever, and intriguing. Work appears suddenly and just as quickly vanishes – cleaned off, demolished or overpainted – only to reappear endlessly in other locations. It is an art form that is inherently transitory - some pieces last days, while others remain for years, until the paint starts peeling. And that is why I like it.

"I have employed David for conferences, presentations, social engagements, marketing materials, open days, portrait shots, official document signings amongst many others. David has always been amenable to our sometimes short notice and has delivered our photos in a quick time frame as agreed and sometimes much quicker depending on our needs. He has always been very helpful, he follows and delivers on the brief and is able to give additional value to jobs with minimal briefs. I am more than happy to recommend David and he will no doubt deliver the same quality he provides us."
